Advanced Science and Research Laboratory Opens at Injibara University
On June 20, 2026, Injibara University (IU) held an opening ceremony for its new laboratory.
The laboratory, named the “Advanced Science and Research Laboratory,” is equipped with the research equipment provided to IU through the SATREPS-EARTH project, including raceway ponds for microalgae cultivation, a UV spectrophotometer, a water purification system, and other laboratory equipment and supplies. It will serve as a center for advanced research by the university's faculty members and students.
Dr. Ayirkm Adugna (IU, a Theme 3 member) noted, “The opening of this laboratory represents an important milestone in the partnership between Injibara University and Soka University. On behalf of Injibara University, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to Soka University for its invaluable support, collaboration, and commitment to capacity building and research development.”
