Project Monthly Meeting With JICA Held
On June 23, the project's monthly meeting with JICA was held at Soka University.
The meeting has been held online once a month to review project progress and discuss challenges, bringing together project representatives from JICA Headquarters and the JICA Ethiopia Office, Project Leader Prof. Sato, and Project Coordinator Mr. Hirata. For the 27th and final meeting, Prof. Asanuma, Project Advisor from JICA Headquarters, and Ms. Yamada, the JICA officer in charge of the project, visited Soka University to attend the meeting in person. Prof. Akizuki (Theme 2 Leader), Prof. Takagi (Theme 4 Leader), Prof. Kuwahara (Theme 1 member), and Ms. Watanabe, Senior Researcher from Mitsubishi Research and Consulting (Theme 4), also participated.
During the meeting, the participants reviewed the procedures for concluding the project and exchanged views on local plans for the implementation of the project's outcomes after its completion, as well as future challenges. Prof. Asanuma and Ms. Yamada expressed their expectations for the continued social implementation of the project's achievements.
Prior to the meeting, Prof. Asanuma and Ms. Yamada interacted with three Ethiopian students currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Soka University as part of the project. Following the meeting, they also had the opportunity to meet with President Prof. Suzuki, who expressed her sincere appreciation for JICA's continued support throughout the project.
