本学法学部准教授のUlv Hansenゼミでは、新型コロナウイルスと人種差別・環境をテーマに、研究ポスターを作りました。

グループ１：
このポスターは新型コロナウイルスの蔓延によって世界で発生した人種差別の問題を研究したものです。人種差別は新型コロナウイルス流行以前から問題となっていましたが、コロナ禍でさらに悪化しました。アジア人に対する人種差別および嫌悪犯罪を研究する非営利団体「Stop AAPI Hate」が発表した報告書によると、パンデミック発生からこの1年間、米国でアジア人を狙ったコロナウイルス関連事件は9千件以上に達しています。 米国だけでなく、他の国でもアジア人を狙った犯罪は日々増えています。 理由のない差別と暴行を受ける人々のために、また私たちは世界平和を実現するために、私たちが学んだことを授業で完結するのではなく、もっと多くの人々に知らせることが使命だと思いました。このポスターを通して皆さんが少しでも世界で発生している人種差別問題について関心を持って欲しいと思います。
In this poster we analyzed the problem of racial discrimination caused by the spread of Covid-19 in the world. Racism had been a problem even before the pandemic, but it was exacerbated by it. According to a report released by Stop AAPI Hate, a non-profit organization that studies racism and hostile crimes against Asians in the United States, there were more than 9000 hate-related incidents targeting Asians in the United States in 12 months after Covid-19 began spreading. Crime targeting Asians is increasing day by day not only in the United States but also in other countries. For the sake of those who have experienced senseless discrimination and violence and for the sake of world peace, we consider it our responsibility to inform more people about what we have learned rather than just keeping our knowledge within our class. We hope that this poster will give you an opportunity to become interested in the racial discrimination that is happening in the world.

グループ２：
私たちのポスターでは、新型コロナウイルスのパンデミックが与えた環境への影響と、今後の環境との共存について、ゼミで学んだことを生かしつつ、生態系・地球温暖化・廃棄プラスチックという３つの観点から記述しています。このポスターを通じて、私たちと環境の関わりを理解し、持続可能な社会を実現することの必要性をより実感してほしいと考えています。
Drawing on what we have learned in our seminar, our poster explains the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the environment and our future relationship with nature. We analyze this from three perspectives: wildlife habitats, global warming, and plastic waste. We hope that this poster will help students understand the relationship between ourselves and the environment and realize the necessity of creating a sustainable society.
