On September 30, an exchange meeting was held between delegates from the Dalian Association for Research on Daisaku Ikeda’s Philosophy and researchers from IRISE.

The association, consisting of members from research institutes established in 6 universities of Dalian City to study the philosophy of Soka University founder Daisaku Ikeda, was inaugurated in September last year, with the attendance of the Soka University delegation consisting of around 100 members.
*The six universities in order of their establishment: Liaoning Normal University, Dalian Polytechnic University, Dalian Art College, Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Dalian Maritime University, and Dalian University.

The delegates had a friendly meeting with the researchers of IRISE, exchanging ideas and discussing future research exchanges and collaborations related to Mr. Ikeda’s philosophy

Mr. Liu Aijun, the Chairperson of the Association, said the following words:
“Even though I have visited Soka University many times before, this is the first time I am visiting as part of this association. It is highly unusual for a single city to have research institutes dedicated to Ikeda's philosophy in so many universities. Each member university within the Dalian Association conducts various research projects and events annually, alongside student reading groups."
"One year has passed since the establishment last year, and in that time, Soka University students have visited Dalian twice. This exchange between students has become a great cause for growth for the Chinese students as well. Students from Dalian were also invited to Soka University's Zhou Enlai Cherry Tree Viewing Party. Soka University is an institution that is highly regarded by Chinese students, with almost 100 students from Dalian City having visited the campus to date.
Many faculty members for various universities, including Dalian Polytechnic University, have emerged from this group, and some started teaching at Soka University this year."
"While further strengthening our partnership with Soka University, which promotes global citizenship education, and the Ikeda Research Institute for Soka Education, we hope to advance our research and educational exchange to a greater level through mutual visits."

In addition, researchers from the association shared their impressions, including comments such as, "We want to practice the principles of peace, culture, and education in Dalian," and "This visit to Soka University was immensely valuable for advancing the study of Ikeda's philosophy in China."
