An exchange meeting was held with the delegation from the Daisaku Ikeda International Center for Peace Studies, Argentina

On March 19th, we welcomed Academic Director Luis Alberto Negretti and others from the Daisaku Ikeda International Center for Peace Studies in Argentina for a meaningful exchange with the researchers and staff of IRISE. The delegation also attended the university’s commencement ceremony held the previous day, and Dr. Negretti delivered the congratulatory address as the guest of honor.

The Center was founded in August 2012 by Dr. Francisco Delich, the former Rector of the University of Córdoba. Soka University founder, who served as Honorary Director, sent a message to celebrate its establishment. Since its founding, the Center has hosted academic seminars at universities throughout Argentina and has promoted interdisciplinary activities based on the values of humanism.

Dr. Negretti, who currently serves as the Academic Director, also leads the National University of Villa María as its Rector. Beyond his academic duties, he is dedicated to establishing a hub for human education in South America and contributing to society through the power of education. Additionally, he has visited the university on two previous occasions, in 2014 to confer the title of Honorary Professor on the founder, and in 2016 to confer the same title on the founder’s wife.

During their visit, the delegation had a friendly discussion with Director Kanzaka and the faculty members of IRISE. Following the presentations of their respective activities, both directors engaged in a lively exchange of ideas. They not only deepened their friendship but also strengthened their commitment toward further collaboration in the future.
