Come to think of it, it is the final day of the first week today. I have been accustomed to the school life here as if we were here for a month or more. Today we had a lecture from Alphy ma’am afternoon and went to the music competition held in the college hall. The lecture was about Indian philosophy, and it mainly focused on Veda, a source of the classical Indic philosophy. As it was the first time to study philosophy in English, I was confused sometimes, but she was so kind to repeat the argument. Members of Japanese society also helped us by expanding the argument and making a summary of the lecture. The music competition was near to its end at the moment we reached there, so we listened to three groups performing a cappella songs. Since one of them, “Birdland” was the one I played in Soka University as a pianist in the Jazz club, I was very happy. We’ve had many new experience so far, but I suppose there are much more opportunities for us to learn something from this programme. I would like to continue to make efforts for the sake of my growth from yesterday.
