Additional campus landmark signboards have been added, with access to audio (Japanese) and images
Soka University Landmarks, an initiative by Ikeda Research Institute for Soka Education (IRISE), introduces the various sites on campus that have been named by the Founder, Daisaku Ikeda. Last year, 120 landmarks were added to the list and are now available on the website. (The complete list is only available in Japanese. Other languages will be updated soon.)Based on the suggestions from student representatives, 10 new signboards have been installed at the various landmarks of Soka University. QR codes have also been added to the existing plaques, allowing easy access to the Soka University Landmarks page on the website.
In addition to viewing various images, it is now possible to hear the audio of the text. (Currently, the audio is only available in Japanese.)
The Google Maps version of Soka University Landmarks has surpassed 260,000 views since its launch, and it is gaining popularity both for campus walks and for learning about Soka University's history. The printed version of Soka University Landmarks also includes the new plaque of Young Founders' Pledges, which was added last year and is available in Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese (both simplified and traditional).
Please make use of it when walking around the campus.
