To commemorate the 20th anniversary of founder’s first special lecture titled “Goethe the Man,” the university displayed rare exhibits in its collection related to the German literary giant, Goethe, including the first edition of his works and nine handwritten letters.

In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the publishing of the dialogue series book between Founder Daisaku Ikeda and Arnold J. Toynbee, a special exhibition on “Daisaku Ikeda and Toynbee” was held at Liberal Arts Building A Tower 1F at the university.

The exhibition on “Understanding, Friendship, and Peace – Daisaku Ikeda and China” introducing the Founder’s efforts and the path paved on working for the friendship of Sino-Japanese relations was held. About 140 guests from the Chinese Embassy, faculty staff members, and students participated in the opening ceremony.

To commemorate Founder’s 300th Honorary Doctorate, a “Special Exhibition to Commemorate 300 Honorary Doctorates – The Educational and Academic Exchanges of the Founder of Soka University, Daisaku Ikeda” was held at the lobby of Central Tower, Level 5.

The exhibition held focused on the chapter “Soka University” of the novel The New Human Revolution, penned by the Founder on 103 occasions, introducing Soka University’s history while following the story of events.

Soka Education Research Institute held an exhibition displaying a collection of [1300 Translated Works] written by the Founder. This exhibition was an updated version of the exhibition on [1000 Translated Works] written by the Founder, held in April after receiving positive reviews.

To commemorate the 150th honorary doctorate that the Founder has received, Soka Education Research Institute (now IRISE) held an exhibition displaying a collection of “1000 translated works” written by the Founder.
