Students must be nominated by their home institution via the following form by the designated deadline:

STEP1: Complete Online Application

Online Application flow
- Pre-registration:
Access the above URL and click “Agree with the terms of use and begin application.”
Select language, enter your email address and click “send.” - Registration:
You will receive an email titled “Soka University - Your e-mail has been registered” from no-reply ‘at’ soka.campus-p.jp.
Access the URL indicated in the email and complete Registration.
You are asked to provide your personal information, academic background, etc. - Application:
You will receive an email with your ID, which is your email address, and password to access your ‘My Page.’
Access your ‘My Page’ from the URL indicated in the email and click “Sign In” with your ID and password.
Upload your headshot* and a copy of your passport photo page and complete Application.
*The headshot must meet designated requirements set by Immigration Services Agency of Japan.
Please note that information provided in the Online Application, including the headshot, will be used for Certificate of Eligibility which you will need for a visa application. Therefore, please make sure to provide correct information.
STEP2: Send required documents
Send the following required documents to Soka University.

Applicants who are not from an English-speaking country and wish to attend Undergraduate level classes taught in English are required to submit a score report of an English proficiency test. TOEFL-iBT 71 or IELTS 5.5 or CEFR B2 or equivalent is required. | Soft-copy |

Applicants who wish to attend Undergraduate level classes taught in Japanese need to submit Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 or above. | Soft-copy |

11. | Statement of Financial Eligibility | Should be completed by a person who will support the applicant’s living expenses in Japan. It can be waived for scholarship recipients. |
