Soka University offers two programs for exchange students that aim at acquiring and improving Japanese-language ability.

English Medium Programs/Courses

Acceptance to the “English Medium Programs” is based on English proficiency and achievement on the standardized examination.

Dormitory for International Students

Administrators and student staff members (including Japanese students) are stationed at the dormitories to provide assistance to and for the security of resident international students.

Soka University actively engages in the placement of its international students, providing an array of support services for those seeking employment in Japan following their graduation.

Guide to Living in Japan

The International Section, an organization of Soka University’s International Department, is responsible for providing a broad range of support services for international students and Japanese students returning from abroad who are enrolled at our university.

Various procedures of visa

Our administration will submit the visa application to the Immigration Bureau on behalf of the international student who has been accepted to Soka University.
